In March 2011 members of the Northern Ohio FOOLS traveled to New York City to Tour Ground Zero and pick up a 28-foot I-beam recovered from the rubble of the World Trade Center from JFK Airport in New Jersey.
The more than 3,300-pound beam was divided into four pieces to be turned into memorials to honor those that lost their lives on Sept 11th.
Pieces of the beam went to the Lorain County JVS, Mapleton Local Schools, the North Fairfield Fire Department and the final piece, Northern Ohio FOOLS donated to the Huron County Firefighters Association to be used as a memorial in Norwalk, in Huron County.
The Northern Ohio FOOLS are collecting donations to help fund the construction of the Huron County Firefighters Memorial.
The Northern Ohio Fools is selling these shirts for $15 each to help raise money for the Huron County Firefighters Memorial.
